NEVER FORGET

THIS GOES TO PROVE THAT A BULLET OR SHRAPNEL IS NOT THE ONLY CAUSE OF BRAVE MEN DIEING. A TREE FELL ON HIM DURING COMPAT OPERATIONS MOST LIKELY DURING A FIRE FIGHT

Thank You

Dear Sgt Darwin Labahn, Thank you for your service as an Armor Crewman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Still Missing You

I remember so clearly the day you departed. You were so handsome in your uniform, so calm, so ready to report for duty. I was so scared, so nervous, not understanding this thing called war. You were so young. I wonder what life would be like if you were here. Would you have married ; would you have had a family; would you have been a career service man? God's plan for you meant we had to let you go. You will always live on in my heart! I think of you, I miss you and I wish I could hug you and tell you I love you, just one more time!

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SGT Darwin Lyn Labahn, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
