Always with me

I've carried the bracelet engraved with his name since 1971 and always displayed where I can see it daily. My own military career in the Air Force and also being from Iowa has made his sacrific personal. A daily reminder of the life I get to live when soo many have been lost to war. There's times I feel guilty for keeping the bracelet and not finding a way to get it to Steven's family. I'll be listening for his name.

POW Bracelet

My name is Lisa and I’m now 63 years old. When I was young, I wore a POW/MIA bracelet with this man’s name on it for years until it finally broke in half and I couldn’t wear it any more. His name was provided on the bracelet randomly when I purchased it but I always wondered who he was, what he looked like and what happened to him. There was no internet at that time so looking up information on these missing men was impossible. Reading about how he became missing breaks my heart, even now, all these years later. Please know how special he always will be to me and that he is not forgotten.
