To my dad...and his friends and admirers he didn't know he had, thank you
I am the son of this brave man. He was shot down 2 months and 2 days before i was born, I have never heard his voice. There is a great mystery about his shoot down, with Capt Branch the other pilot, and subsequent capture. His plane was found when an investigation was done only a dozen years ago, or so. His seat had ejected {Capt Branchs remains were verified in the craft }......there is a lot, lot more to it. In the end I wish I could have gone fishing with him at least once as a small boy. This was my father.......I miss him..... If some are curious I could write the whole long story about him, just ask and give your email. I am so very touched by the honor you show him, and my family.

I have a bracelet
I received my bracelet in the early '70's. After some years it did finally break, but I still have it in my jewelry box. It is how I can honor him and the many others that served and made the ultimate sacrifice....

I have Capt. E.M. Jewell's bracelet
I reached out to his daughter via email today, and I look forward to sending it to her! I found this bracelet in a box in my grandmother's closet last night. I'm from a military family (30 year USMC in WWII) I know the importance this will have on his family. God bless

Grateful For Capt. Jewell's Service and prayers to his family
I just read an article in my local paper about a woman who had one of these bracelets and kept in touch with the soldier whose name is on it. This prompted me to find the bracelet I wore when I was a young girl. My bracelet has the name, Captain Eugene Jewell. I remember praying for that young soldier back then and throughout the years. I wondered what became of him and hoped to find out that he had survived. The internet can be so incredible. Type in a name and find this site. I wish Captain Jewell had survived that war. I am so grateful to him and his family for his service.
