THE WALL OF FACES

My dad brought a bracelet home after work and explained what it meant. I was in grade school, but I knew these names represented heroes. He gave that bracelet to me. It was Capt. Eugene M. Jewell. I wore it for years and then when the Gulf War started I explained it to my children. Later I lived for a while in Topeka, Ks. While on the Washburn University campus, I came across a stone monument of those lost in the Vietnam War. There he was. I never knew what happened to him and now there it was. I couldn't take my eyes off that rock.
Thank you for the sacrifice your family made in such an awful conflict and in American history.

i got my bracelet when i was in jr high ... i wore it every day for a long long time, until i think it broke... i remember his name to this day ... we are watching the ken burns vietnam documentary and it made me think of my bracelet and captain eugene m jewell... so i goggled his name and found this page.. all so sad

I also have Captain Jewell's MIA bracelet....would love to know if he has any surviving siblings to get it to?

I was in high school and in 1971 bough my bracelet. I have kept it in a box since then, yes I wore it during the conflict often thinking of him and his family. I still have it.
