You took my place
I wanted Helicopters bad. W/O Golon said if I waited for him he would get orders for us to Helicopters. I couldn't wait, I thought the war would be over before I got there. I took the first WESPAC orders I could get. That was October 1967. I always assumed Mike went with Warrant Officer Golon . For nearly 50 years I have Mike took my place. We were good friends during our days in California with VMCJ-1 at El Toro. Mike was a good person and a Great Marine. God Bless, RIP.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear CPL Michael Eugene Adams, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
