My Uncle Leslie
I never met my uncle. He was shot and taken from this earth only a few short days before I was born. I wish I had met him. From what my parents David (Leslie's brother) and Fay, and my brothers Dave and Gregg told me he was a very family oriented person and a loving and lively individual as well. My brother Dave especially has extremely fond memories of Leslie, as he was 9 when my family moved away from Ohio. He was able to spend time and get to know this Man, this Marine. This Hero. Leslie I know we will meet some day and at that time I will hug you dearly for who you are and the Hero you became for me. Thank you for your service, and your ultimate sacrifice.

honoring you...
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.
