Thank you for your service
When I first came to UNA, I was curious why his statue is at the campus.
But after knowing his story, although I am Korean, I was impossible not to admire.
Because my grandfather also served in the Vietnam War.
I express gratitude to the people who sacrificed for the freedom.

My namesake
My father, Gregg Champion, grew up together in Florence, AL. He admired him so much that I was named after him 2 years after his untimely death. Several years ago Dad and I visited the Vietnam Memorial Wall and was able to get a name rubbing. It was a day I’ll never forget. I found this site recently and for the first time able to see pictures of Chad. I’m forever indebted to you - Chad Barber.
