THE WALL OF FACES

Michael was killed after my tour of duty May 1965-'66.while serving with C Company 3rd Motor Transport Battalion Chulai and Danang in 1966 I am sorry for his loss I remember him from West High School he was in my Granduation class 1963.

Corporal Michael Joseph Banovez Jr., Served with Company M, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Third Marine Amphibious Force.

Michael was born with "happy genes". He always had a smile on his face and an optimistic outlook. He had a certain charisma that you enjoyed just being in his presence. He was "good people" and one of our nation's finest young men.

Michael is buried at Roselawn Memorial Park, Section F, southeast corner under a large maple tree, 7th row in from the east, 8th column in from the south
