3rd Amphibian Tractor Battalion

A good guy, a good friend and a fellow Marine. We drank, worked and fought together before I moved on to 1st Force Recon Battalion. I can remember the day he died. I lost a brother. It was a long time ago but you have never been forgotten and never will be. Semper Fi to a true Marine.

a friend

I served with David Hevle in the Nam...he was a good friend. I met him when I was working in the company office and he was the company driver at that time but due to some conflicts with the 1stSgt he requested to be sent back out into the field. If I remember right, he was on a 6 mos extension in the Nam to save money as I believe he was going to get married once he got back stateside. I spoke with him on the day of his accident...he'd come back from the field to get a tooth extracted and was told to remain in bed the rest of the day but he wanted to go back out....

Thank You

Dear Cpl David Hevle, Thank you for your service as an Assault Amphibious Vehicle Crewman. Yesterday was Memorial Day when we honor you. I could not post then because this site was overwhelmed. Please watch over the USA, it still needs your courage. Rest in peace with the angels.
