We Will Remember

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

54 Yrs

I remember dropping you off at the Minneapolis Airport to leave for Vietnam, 5 months later I come home from college classes and my Mother greets me at the door with the news you had been killed. This year Ken is there to see you, he died early April, a lot of the guys from High School were there, small Vietnam Vets get together. Will always miss you, that war hurt my soul so bad!

I remember taking you to Mpls St Paul airport right before Christmas 1967 to see you off for Vietnam, little did we know you would never see our faces again ... your burial was a closed casket and the pain of your loss will never leave.

LZ Peanut

In February, 2018, I walked the hallowed ground of LZ Peanut; along with others, we make the trek to honor and remember the men who died there 4-5 May, 1968.
My life has been changed by knowing the survivors of that battle.
