Remembering Steve Guardino

Steve and I, along with Joe Milice and Anthony Bonomico entered the Marines the same day and were in the same platoon in Boot Camp. They all lived in Norristown and went to Bishop Kendrick while I was from the neighboring town of Bridgeport. All of us went to Vietnam but were fortunate to return safely. Regrettably, Steve wasn't as fortunate. He could have refused to go to Vietnam because he was an only child, but he went nonetheless and was KIA nine months after enlisting. RIP old friend.

Thank You

Dear PFC Stephen Guardino,
Thank you for your service as an Assault Amphibious Vehicle Crewman. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
