Marty, I met your beautiful wife Judy several years ago, and she and her family are remembering you and your sacrifice to our Great Nation by sponsoring a Helicopter that is on display at the new Nebraska Vietnam Veteran Memorial. Judy has done a remarkable job of raising your two daughters, and while they were growing up, Judy never missed an opportunity to shares with them stories, and memory of their dad. You will always be remembered and in the hearts of so many who have heard of your love of your country, duty, and family. Rest in Peace, Captain!

Life goes on for many of us that still love you while you gave your life for country and family 52 years ago today. It seems like yesterday that your smile and laughter filled our home. I will always love you and your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will carry your memory through stories that have been shared with them.

I still think of you every day. You would be very proud of your daughters and the strong women they have grown to be. I can still hear your laughter and know that you would have loved to see your daughters grow up and enjoy their children as well. You are my hero and will be in my heart forever.

I think of you so often. It's been 51 years ago that we lost you. Charlie and I will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary next week. You and Judy should have been able to do that a few years ago. You should have been able to see your two little girls grow up, walk them down the aisle, watch your grandbabies be born and grow up. I love you so much and always will. I miss you.
