Kontum

Met Him CCC compound in Kontum in Mar 69. Very nice Cpt. Didn't get to know him all that well. We'd see each other on the compound, talk for a few and go about our business. Couple of beers in the club once or twice. He was well liked by everyone on the compound. RIP Cpt.

Captain Ronald M. Goulet
We were in love - he was the only person who could call me Jonesy- he tried to teach me to parachute at Constitution Plaza in Hartford, CT!
He loved being a Green Beret and was a member of the Elite Warriors of SOG..
On September 26, 1969, on a Hatchet Force mission, he was hit.
He died in a Huey, halfway back to Dak To. We were twenty three years old.
He was an incredibly good person- beautiful, loving and honest.
Always in our hearts...

Remembering An American Hero

Dear Captain Ronald Marcel Goulet, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
