Thank You

Dear Sgt Lydes Garner,
Thank you for your service as an Indirect Fire Infantryman. Happy Veterans' Day. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

You will always be in my heart

Dear uncle Bud ,
My name is aaron garner and i am the youngest son of your oldest brother Tomas garner. I just want you to know that I think of you ofton. I have never met you but I know more about you than my living aunts and uncles. My father has told me so many stories about you and how strong of an individual you are. I just want you to know I strive every day to be the type of person you were. I miss you tremendously and cant wait to meet you on gods golden shores someday. I'm so proud to hear stories of what a great yong man you are. My father doesn't show true feelings much but I do know that he misses you every day and longs to be with you again someday. I will always look up to you my uncle I never met.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SGT Lydes Jay Garner Jr, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
