The Uncle I Never Met
All I've ever heard about you was memories of before you left and the day you died...the procession of your funeral and I wish I could've known you. Even though I never got the chance to meet you I've seen your pictures, read your letters, looked at the flag that was given to Grandma and Grandpa, and the purple heart that is still in the living room...and I am lucky to have "known" someone so brave, even in spirit.
