Gone from our Sight, but Never from our Memory...
My rememberences of Donald Frey go back many years, to the time when he was a little boy. He has always had a love of life..he loved everyone.he always made us laugh as he was always happy. Then as he grew older he felt that he should do his part to help keep our country free, so he joined the Army..not really sure of what he would have to do.Then he was sent to Vietnam. He had only been there a few months when he was killed in action. We only got to keep Donald for 18 short years, but during those years he bought us so much joy and happiness..He was like Sunshine, warming your heart. Donald was not a fighter..he was more a lover...I know in my heart that Donald would much rather have been helping those people than killing them, that is just the kind of person he was.He was his famly's Hero, long before he went to Vietnam. He made the supreme sacrifice that one can make for his country..he gave his Life when asked to do so for all Americans ..Donald is back home now, his body rests in a cemetaty in St. James, Mo but I feel sure that he is in Heaven today making the Angels Smile and he is standing there with a big smile on his face to Welcome Family members and Friends as they meet him again up there. Thank you God for Our Donald, he may be gone from our view but he will never be gone from our memory.. Aunt Betty and Family
