Do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
Mary Frye – 1932

For the greater good
Hello, my name is DrewBunting. I am a senior at Gridley High School. As part of my school assignment, I am writing this remembrance. This person was very brave for dedicating his life in protecting a country that was not his own in order to protect that country’s citizens’ personal freedoms.

With tears and laughter, I remember you
Dear Donald, So many memories-100 words will never tell the stories. Walking home from school, snowball fights, you cheating on your spelling test in 8th grade and the twinkle in your eyes when you smiled! The last words I heard you speak--I will fire first then duck--and out the door you walked. You forgot to replace my tennis shoes--you borrowed them when you were home for a weekend pass and had only your jumpboots to wear. You just smiled when you returned them covered with mud!I think I always knew you were special. After all these years I miss you..
