honoring you...
Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died with just seven days left in your tour is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace.

Thank You
Dear Ssgt Ira Franklin,
Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. It was just Columbus Day, and another national holiday has arrived. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

My Father
Thank you to everyone for all your posts. I would especially like to thank the men who served with my father. You will never know how much your kind words mean to me and my mother. I never got to know my father, but I see him every day in the mirror, and I have been lucky enough to hear so many stories from his family. I am honored to be his daughter, and I am honored that you have all chosen to remember him.
Thank you again,
Catherine D. Franklin
