THE WALL OF FACES

It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. I was Eddie's good friend in high school. He was a sincere, special person and I hoped that once he returned from Vietnam our friendship would continue. as years have passed I have many memories and continue to laugh hysterically about the crazy things we did in high school; like..kissing on the hay bale at the FFA dance????Falling backwards and the chaperone advising us we would be thrown out!!! ha ha You were one heck of a wrestler for the Santa Maria High Saints Team, and most of all --- A GOOD Person..I miss you Eddie, I visited the wall, I touched your name.
