Sgt Frank Augustine is buried at Saint Columba Catholic Cemetery in Middletown, Rhode Island.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrances from your cousin Joyce and several friends and fellow soldiers attest to the love and respect they have for you. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us.

It's hard to believe it's been 50 years since we have seen each other. I still miss you so much. Your sister Betty , the last of your siblings died 2 days ago. I can only imagine what a great reunion you are having in paradise today. So many are gone from our family now. I hope to one day, enjoy that reunion with you. I love you, you were always my very favorite cousin. Your kind heart and sweet smile will always be in my heart. Joyce

It's Sgt Cavanaugh, Augie, the Company Demo Man who served with you. Our DEROS dates were the same, Oct 1, 1969. I was rotating out and should have been with you, Cooney and Glisson but was getting ready to leave. Had I been there with you, I would have tried to stop you guys from digging that mine up or left with you all. I'm so damn sorry and have thought about you guys every day since Oct. 1, 1969.
