Honoring a Fallen Hero

I am doing a school project on the Vietnam War and veterans from the war. For my project I have chosen Victor. I would like any information on Victor that anyone has. I would appreciate it if you could send this information to my teacher: [email protected]. thank you very much for your help.

VJ, you were an inspiration

We went through Parris Island together in that summer of 1964, Platoon 360, and afterwards, ITR at Camp Lejeune. It was there you joined the elite of the elite- -Force Recon. Only those of us who saw what you had to survive to make it, can appreciate the kind of guts you had. You were a very bright and witty guy, and I liked you a lot. I know from your friend's tribute on this site that you went to heaven, and I hope that you didn't suffer in dying -- I heard that story from another bootcamp buddy, Arnie Worthman. You were a good man with moxey, you died a hero's death, and I am proud to have known you. You'll live forever in my memory, VJ.

JIMMY

Jimmy,

We were friends from first grade, you always made me laugh, you joked about my father. I know you believed in your God, and I didn't, I hope you are with him now. Do you know that you are buried not fifty feet from my mother?

I have not forgotten you.
