Remembering My Fallen Brothers --- Cambodia May 12 1970 --- 48 years ago today

I felt a great need to pay tribute and honor Troy Flint, Thomas Sherry, Keith Franklin and Robert Thompson today, on this date of their sacrifice ....for personal reasons and for what I experienced that day and the days to follow...I remember that day as it was just yesterday....as I attached ID tags to each fallen Brothers boots I recited the Lords Prayer prior to loading them on a helicopter for their final journey home...Not only did they pay the ultimate sacrifice, but their families did as well....I think about them often as I go through life that my fallen Brothers did not have the opportunities as I did,... Things that most people take for granite .like birthdays, marriage, having children, grandchildren and so on...I'm sure you get the picture . I will never forget that day for I also, literally stared death in the eye, but the Lord spared my life which at times I fill guilty for why I lived and they died....Maybe because they all still live within me, so their story can be told today....
