Remembering My Fallen Brothers --- Cambodia May 12 1970 --- 48 years ago today
I felt a great need to pay tribute and honor Troy Flint, Thomas Sherry, Keith Franklin and Robert Thompson today, on this date of their sacrifice ....for personal reasons and for what I experienced that day and the days to follow...I remember that day as it was just yesterday....as I attached ID tags to each fallen Brothers boots I recited the Lords Prayer prior to loading them on a helicopter for their final journey home...Not only did they pay the ultimate sacrifice, but their families did as well....I think about them often as I go through life that my fallen Brothers did not have the opportunities as I did,... Things that most people take for granite .like birthdays, marriage, having children, grandchildren and so on...I'm sure you get the picture . I will never forget that day for I also, literally stared death in the eye, but the Lord spared my life which at times I fill guilty for why I lived and they died....Maybe because they all still live within me, so their story can be told today....

Remembering An American Hero
Dear SP4 Troy Lee Flint, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter

I will always remember
I remember the good and bad that we experienced in that place and time. We laughed together, we ate together, and we fought the enemy together. I hate that I had to leave you there, I don't know if it would made a difference in you living or not. Two guys from the south, one black one white, one from Lousiana and one from Alabama.
I love you man!!!!!!!!!!!!!Forever
Just wanted you to know, I stopped by for a visit today, 7/6/2007. Still remembering you.
