He was my favorite Cousin

Of all my cousins, Jimmy was my favorite. He was always full of mischief and fun. I remember how handsome he was in his uniform, and how scared I was for him when he got shipped off to the war. I will never forget his funeral and all the people who came to pay their respects. To this day, tears well up in my eyes when I think of his brilliant smile that always lit up a room and that I will never see again. My other fond memory of Jim was his marvelous imitation of Donald Duck! He was always full of fun. I miss him a lot.

I remember

I thought I would post a little bit of information on Jim. I am certainly not family and did not know Jim well, but we did grow up together in West Seattle, Seattle, WA. Jim and I went to Holy Rosary ES. Jim was very athetic and played baseball and basketball. He probably was the best athlete in our 8th grade class. After all these years I do remember him well. After ES it seems like our class either went to West Seattle HS or O'Dea HS. Jim chose to go to West Seattle like most of the "jocks" as West Seattle was a powerhouse in football and baseball. O'Dea, well we fielded teams, but we really were not that good. Even though we went to different schools we all often got toether to swap stores and to play ball. We were all shocked with Jim was killed, and then further devastated when another classmate was killed just a few months later (John Nokes). We all lost our innocence with the passing of Jim and John. Jim, you are remembered and are always in our toughts and prayers.
