THE WALL OF FACES

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died just four days before your 21st birthday is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace.

Edwin and I graduated from Pineville High School in Pineville, Louisiana together. He told us the night we graduated that he had to report within the next month to go into service. The next time I saw him was when we went to his funeral about a year later.

I will never forget R V I will ever have a lasting memory of a great guy!

Dear Lcpl R V Edwards,
Thank you for your service as a Machine Gunner. We remember all you who gave their all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
