do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

As long as you are remembered you will always be with us....

Arizona sunrise

That was the 2nd biggest explosion I was ever in but it did a lot more damage to you Larry. I never knew that human bodies could fly that far ,it took the CORPSMAN a while to find us because we were hit out of the ballpark. Became good friends on a crazy night and even worse morning. You were right with your last words to me before the explosion," SNAFU ,"Now watch , somebody is really going to get FU#@KED UP". Sorry it was you Larry. 53 years have come and gone & I'm only here because of DIVINE Intervention and you are always on my mind. Good night to you and all those warriors who made the Ultimate Sacrifice. SEMPER FI, MARINE.

I sat next to Larry on the plane going to Vietnam

I remember sitting next to Larry on the plane to Vietnam. We were seated alphabetically on the plane. His last name being Arnold and mine Appel we sat next to each other. When we arrived we arrived in Nam, we both went to An Hoa
Larry went with 2nd Bn 5th Marines, I went to Echo Battery 2nd Bn 11th Marines. I remember how shocked I was when I heard he was KIA from a friend that was in his company. RIP Brother! Semper Fi.
