Do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
Mary Frye – 1932

Not forgotten
Thomas, Although we never met, I just want you to know you are not forgotten. You gave the ultimate sacrifice, your life for what you believed in. Sleep well my friend, and thank you for protecting our freedoms.

One of Philadelphia PA's 630 fallen sons.
Photo and article were taken from the Philadelphia Daily News of October 26,1987. The special supplement entitled "SIX HUNDRED AND THIRTY,' was published in conjunction with the dedication of the Philadelphia Viet Nam Memorial.
"Tommy" Dean was a gifted athlete, capping outstanding scholastic careers in soccer, basketball and baseball by being on John Bartram High School's 1963 city championship baseball team. He told his parents he had enlisted in the Marine Corps and volunteered for Viet nam because he felt it was necessary to do so before he went to college. The 20-year-old lance corporal, a rifleman assigned to Company A of the 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division, had been on several search-and-destroy missions before being severly wounded. He died at a Navy hospital in the Philippines on Memorial Day 1967. Dean was survived by his parents and a sister."
