A friend like a brother
AL, I remember the day you suggested that we hitchhike to NYC at 9 am with only $4 bucks between us. Why not, we only had several days left before leaving for P I. We made it back by 8 pm. We had a great day and lots of laughs. It was a great honor to be requested by your parents to be your special escort once you arrived at Dover Del. to your final resting place. AL, one day we will sit down and remernis about all of the good times we had. Semper Fi my good friend.

do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
As long as you are remembered you will never truly die....
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
As long as you are remembered you will never truly die....

An Old Friend
I grew up in central falls, a block away from Anters market on washington street. Never hung around much with Albert but we were friends. He was always busy helping with the family business. Could not have asked for a better friend. I was in Guam when I got news, We were only 3 months apart in age. Over fifty years ago but still think about him. He was a hero to us all.
