My Birthday

I was looking for another David Wenger, who I went all through school with. He died in 1968 while I was in the navy. This David Wenger is exactly my age, only I've now made it to 73; David only made it to 19. Thank God this stupid war is long over. I was there in 1970

Such a great guy.

I remember Dave especially on Memorial Day. He made an impact on me as we got to be great friends before he left and avid penpals while he was serving. He made me smile and made me feel special. Never any drama and was such an easy relationship. As a junior in high school I couldn't understand how or why this could happen but because I knew about his faith, I knew he was OK and that I would see him again one day. I loved visiting his mom and she never forgot him one single day as his picture was front and center in the living room. I am so sorry again to the whole family who sacrificed this wonderful person. Hugs. Barb Saul McBride

West High Classmate

Dave on Memorial Day and most days I lift your name in prayer. Dave was such a nice guy. When he entered a classroom or the cafeteria you knew the fun would be begin because of his crazy sense of humor. Dave was handsome, kind, and funny. I will never forget the day that it was announced over the intercom at school that we had lost another classmate while he was serving our country. Paying our respects to you and your family at the funeral home was hard. Dave you left us at such a young age. Thank you for serving. You will NEVER be forgotten. RIP my friend and hero.
