Vietnam remembered
My husband, Warren Haas served with Lt. Dalton in Vietnam. Warren was the medic for the company and I believe was there that fateful day. Warren spoke of Lt Dalton often. Warren has since past on from illnesses related to Agent Orange. May they both RIP

Thanks Lt.
Thanks Lt Dalton for making the ultimate sacrifice. I went to St.Joseph’s with your sister Mary and we reconnected a few years ago. I have followed Terry Nau and others efforts to honor you and your Pawtucket brothers who also gave all for America. God bless you and keep you in his loving arms.

Forever remembered your life lives on in us
My father lived in the same neighborhood in Pawtucket. Michael was 8 years younger and really liked my dad, who was like a mentor to him. Michael would go to the St. Rays football games and walk home with my dad and ask to carry his helmet. My dad said the whole town was devastated by the news of his death in Viet Nam and he too will never forget that June day with all the cars and people at the Dalton house. My dad said he just cried in his car and couldn't bare to go over across the street. He said Michael was such a great kid and a terrific athlete. He remembers him saving a kid drowning in the Blackstone River. My dad always liked the name Michael and he believes it was because of Michael Dalton. I was born in 1970 and my folks named me Michael. My dad would talk of Michael Dalton often and I grew up with these stories and many more. He never forgot and he made sure I knew them too. I've been to the wall to see his name twice, once on a school trip as a teen and once after my war. 1LT Dalton and I had similar paths Benning, Airborne, athletics, (even UB when I went to Chiropractic school) I served in an Infantry platoon, 173rd Airborne and somehow made it out of Afghanistan with wounds from small arms and RPG. As long as I'm alive the memory of Michael Dalton lives on to the next generation. I'd like to meet Scott Dalton as we are about the same age.
