One of Mike's OCS 96 Platoon Mates
I was one of the old guys in Mikes OCS class having been a NCO with 7 years in the Army and two tours in Vietnam under my belt. Gained respect for Mike quickly. He was rock solid in his attitude, calmness and common sense as a leader. He was also a good person and treated everyone with respect. Always positive about the people around him. I don't think there was a negative bone in his body.

Thank You
Dear Lt Michael Dalton,
Thank you for your service as an Infantry Unit Commander. Easter is coming up. Happy Easter. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

A kind and gentle man
I grew up with Michael in Pawtucket, RI. I was a friend of his younger brother and a classmate of his sister. He was a gifted athlete and unfailingly kind and polite. I remember the day of his funeral, a bunch of us kids sat on our bikes across the street from the Dalton house. We just sat there silently and watched the sad proceedings. He was newly married and the entire family piled into cars and drove off to his funeral. It was then, and is now, heartbreakingly sad. I once visited the memorial and sought and found his name. I think of him from time to time and remember a kind young man whose life was cut short.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear 1LT Michael Moran Dalton, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
