Uncle Bob
It has been 49 years since you left us. Just a few days ago on Memorial Day I accompanied Mom and Granny to The Wall and when I touched your name I could feel the tears welling in my eyes instantly. Your friend Steve went with us. Seeing him, I thought often of how you'd look now. You are always missed; you are never forgotten no matter how many years have gone by. Granny is 97 and is still a vibrant and strong woman. She's a rock star among the Gold Star Mothers! She lives with mom now and our time with her grows sweeter each day. Mom is amazing; she takes such good care of Granny. Your friend Paul related a great story about you on the VVMF Facebook page today and it made me smile. http://bit.ly/2sQDigs Until we meet again, Sherry

Miss You My Friend
Bob, not a day goes by that you're not thought of.
I think of what little time we were together And how
Our friendship grew so fast..Sure was fun we had
When we went fishing with my dad..
Bob I know we will meet again and until we do just
Remember that I love you man, your my H E R O.
