Thank You

Dear PFC Louis Cunningham,
Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Pioneer with the 1st Cavalry. You passed on my husband's birthday. Later, my mom passed on this day. Say hi to them in heaven, they are Michael and Rose. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Family Member

Today on Memorial Day, I discovered this page while looking for stories on Louis. I have never met him for I was born long after he left us, but to me, he was always known "Uncle Lou." He is my great-uncle, my grandmother is his sister. It is an honor to read these passages from others, and on behalf of the Cunningham clan, I want to thank all of you for taking the time to recognize and remember him. His memory will forever be passed down from generation to generation in our family.
