To my brother Ricky

Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. So many years have passed but I can still see your beautiful face so vividly. Your eyes. Your smile. You were taken from me much too soon. We didn't get the chance to know each other better. That wasn't fair.
I take comfort that mom and dad are with you now.
I know I will see you all again some day but until then just know that you are in my heart always and forever.

Uncle Ricky

Today, on Memorial Day, we honor and pay tribute to those, like you, who fought and continue to fight for our freedom. I so wish I could have known you and often wonder how different our family would be had you survived the war. I know grandma and grandpa couldn't be happier now that they're with their baby boy. They wanted nothing more than to have you with them once again. The stories they shared with me were full of love and happiness. My mom dreams of the day when you are both together again. I always felt reassured that you were taking care of Adam and teaching him everything he needed to know. Thank you for that and thank you for your sacrifice. The void within our family is immeasurable without you here. Rest easy.
