RIP My Friend
Dan was called "Pete" by his friends from Litchfield, of which there were many. Pete was one of the funniest guys i have had the pleasure of befriending. We had so many good times together, which still put on a smile on my face. Pete's Mother and my Father were good friends, and going with my Dad to pay our respects to Pete's Mom was one of the most depressing days of my life. He was KIA less than three months from my return from RVN, and i will never forget my Dad waking me with the terrible news. I have no doubt that he was a great Marine, and I pay a silent tribute to Pete each time I pass his grave. You may be gone my friend, but you will never be forgotten. I consider it an honor and privilege to have been your friend.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear LCPL Daniel R Cox, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
