BEEF STEW--- OPERATION BUFFALO

Many of us in Kilo Company, 3rd Platoon 3rd Squad, claim you as our best friend because you were such a great guy to be around. You were a friend to all of us and we were friends with you. We were family then and brothers today. You and I shared Dinty Moore beef stew when we received our care packages from home. I laugh, and cry, when I remember how we thought we could sing like Dean Martin. We were pretty lousy. I cried when I learned what happened to you on the 4th of July and again when I found your name on The Wall. Even when I remember the funny things I still cry after all these years. I added your name to a Heroes Walkway on a Memorial near my hometown. All of your Best Friends will remember you always. Semper Fi my friend.

U never knew me, but I am your 2nd cousin. I was born on your birthday. I was born December 2, 1974. My dad is your cousin. My dad's name is Daniel Hill Ronen. He was your cousin and you grew up together. My dad served in the Marine Corps. My dad speaks highly of you and he really misses you a lot. He tells me stories of his childhood and the time you two spent together as cousins. I just wish you were alive today to talk to my father and spend time with him again. Just wanted to say that you will always be remembered for what you did for your country. You served your country well dear cousin. May you rest in peace. Until we meet some day. Semper Fi
