Never Forgotten

My husband John served with Don in Vietnam he always just called him "Cook". He is thought of often. When we visited The Wall in D.C., he just wanted to find Don's name and touch it and tell him to Rest In Peace. That is what the picture is.

Remembrance and Gratitude

I carry you with me every day. I think of the grandfather you would be now, the life you would have lived, I know it would have been a good one. My thoughts are with your family today, who lost a great brother and son 49 years ago, as I lost a great friend. I am grateful for the time we had, and will always mourn the time we lost.

Missing you always...

They say time heals all wounds...I disagree. It has been 49 years that my brother & hero was killed in VietNam. The pain lessens but never goes away. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of Donnie & wonder what life would be like if he were here, I know it would be better because of his mere presence. I love & miss him terribly...

Never Forgotten

Donnie, 49 years has passed us by but the years do not erase the memories and love you shared with your family and friends. This year will be very special as Renee and I will finally meet face to face to share the love, respect and heart felt loss we have in our hearts without our brothers by our side. As we read your name on November 9th we will be holding our hands together knowing you will be with us keeping us strong.
We love you!

Veterans Day Salute

Knowing your gone is such a loss
Today we honor your sacrifice of service
Tomorrow we share your memories we cherish
I wish one day we could have met
But you're my brother non the less
I'm proud of you everyday I live
Will be a sister's friend right to the end
