To my brother Donnie...

On this the anniversary of the day you were taken from us, I reflect on all the things that I miss about you. But there are so many. I convey the words of my sister that we grieve for the life that was not fulfilled, the dreams that were shattered, the future that you didn't have. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you and I miss you so much. You were such a wonderful guy....and to think that you were my brother is such a great honor. You are and always will be our hero. One of these days I will see you again....Until then, I'll love you always.

Remembrance for a fallen soldier

May your spirit rest in peace. Know that your sacrifice in the service of your country is not forgotten. You are forever honored each time your countrymen stand and sing the words "...land of the free and the home of the brave".

Donnie and his buddies

This was taken sometime in either June or July '68. Max Garcia sent this picture of Lagrand Brown, Max, Ed Welch, Donnie (in helmet), Bob Johnston and Ken Grigsby. Donnie had such a good friend in Max and I am so thankful that he was with him on his last day.

I know you without ever meeting you

I am a friend of your sister Renee, we share a common bond of brothers in vietnam. My brother was fortunate enough to come back in body, but not so much in mind, I think about my brother everyday, but I remember you every year on this date and I thank you for my freedom. Your sister loves and misses you very much.

Not forgotten

Donald, Although we never met,
I just want you to know you are
not forgotten. You gave the ultimate
sacrifice, your life for what you believed
in. Sleep well my friend, and thank you
for protecting the freedoms we enjoy
today.
Donald, I read what your sister left for you, and it shows her love for you. I know you are still watching over her.
