Marine boot camp MCRD
I was drafted into the Marines with Patrick on 18,January 1966.
He was a very competent recruit and excelled at everything , he expected all of us fellow boots to also excel .
I was lucky. I lived and as I age I think more about the brave men victims of a draft into this war.

A Good Friend
Pat was a close friend of my father, Terry Wayne. They would often go waterskiing during the summer here in Michigan. A special hand signal was used to tell the driver of the boat when to come close to shore in order to drop off the person that was waterskiing. This was done mainly for Pat since he couldn’t wear his glasses while waterskiing. I learned this signal the first time out on our boat as a child and I‘ve passed it on to my son. It’s a small way to not forget Pat.
