Do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Death of Patrick Joseph Connors

I have a good old traveling buddy from the 60's who joined the Mariens in1965 and was sent to Viet Nam in 1966. I kept all of his letters from his Viet Nam days and in one of them he describes the death of Patrick Joseph Conners from Livonia Michigan. I rember it so well because my Marine friend said in his letter how Patrick look so much like me he used to call him by my name. I am a historian of sorts with a degree from the University of Florida in History. As a historian I would like to know more about Patrick Joseph Connors, how he lived his short life. We were only six months apart in age. Are their any pictures of Patrick? Yearbooks?, old friends out there? Most important I want any family menbers to know the details of the letter are available with proof of kinship. Write: Michael McNally 709 NW 9th Ave. Gainesville, Fl. 32601
