Thank you for your service - I wore Major John Francis Conlon III army bracelet during my college years
I purchased the army bracelet at my college bookstore and wore it throughout my college years and thereafter for a period of time. I always wondered about this veteran. Earlier today I located information at arlingtoncemetery.net and am trying to locate family members in the one of them would like to have this as a keepsake.

Distinguished Flying Cross Award
Major John F Conlon, III was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for heroism and extraordinary achievement while engaged in aerial flight. He served as a Pilot, Tactical Fighter, and was assigned to the 557th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 12th Tactical Fighter Wing, 13th Air Force.
