A toast to a warrior
I never met you. Only heard stories of your exploits. The chewing gum story,I still tell from time to time.
Every Memorial Day I sit and have a toast in your name along with all the others I knew and served with. I'm an old man now. But your picture and the pictures of the others are still young.
You are not forgotten.

God bless you my friend
I went to high school with Leroy. We only had a casual friendship, but we liked and respected each other.
Leroy i graduated from Marine Corp boot camp the day before you were KIA. Two month later I was in Vietnam. We called it the Nam huh buddy. Anyway my friend thank you for your service and sacrifice. I think I have finally gotten the nerve up to go visit you at your resting place 53 years after being home. It’s not that I didn’t want to go see you and pay my regards and respect ,I know you know what I’m saying even if nobody else does
