Commemorative POW*MIA bracelet dedicated to U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel (LtCol) Harold Joseph Alwan. The bracelet bears engraved inscriptions specifying LtCol Alwan's military rank, name, branch of service, casualty date, theater of military operations, & home state of record which read, "LTC. HAROLD J. ALWAN / USMC 2-27-67 SVN/OW / IL". The artifact was left at The Wall by an anonymous donor in July 1991.

THE OBJECT CONSISTS OF A FLAT STRIP OF RECTANGULARLY SHAPED, RED COLORED ALUMINUM [?] METAL WITH ROUNDED ENDS BENT INTO A ROUGHLY CIRCULAR SHAPE TO FORM A BRACELET. AN ENGRAVED INSCRIPTION AT THE EXTERIOR, OBVERSE OBJECT SURFACE OF THE BRACELET BEARS LTCOL ALWAN'S MILITARY RANK, NAME, BRANCH OF SERVICE, CASUALTY DATE, & THEATER OF MILITARY OPERATIONS, "LTC. HAROLD J. ALWAN / USMC 2-27-67 SVN/OW", WHILE A SECONDARY INSCRIPTION ENGRAVED UPON THE EXTERIOR, REVERSE OBJECT SURFACE OF THE BRACELET BEARS THE TWO (2) LETTER ABBREVIATION FOR LTCOL ALWAN'S HOME STATE OF RECORD, "IL".
