Non-military issue, commemorative service identification tag, also referred to as a, "dog tag", dedicated to U.S. Army Captain (CPT) and Nurse Eleanor Grace Alexander. The military rank, name, birth/casualty dates, & national affiliation, "CAPT. ELEANOR G. / ALEXANDER / 9/18/40 / 11/30/67 / USA" are stamped upon the obverse surface of the dog tag. The artifact was left at The Wall along with five (5) other associated military issue, service identification tags (VIVE (9813 - 9817)) by an anonymous donor between September - November 1993.
NON-MILITARY ISSUE, COMMEMORATIVE SERVICE IDENTIFICATION TAG, ALSO REFERRED TO AS A, "DOG TAG" DEDICATED TO U.S. ARMY CAPTAIN (CPT) AND NURSE ELEANOR GRACE ALEXANDER. THE OBJECT CONSISTS OF A RECTANGULARLY SHAPED, SILVER COLORED METAL DISK WITH ROUNDED CORNERS, A CRIMPED EDGE, AND ONE (1) HOLE PUNCHED AT THE CENTER OF THE PROPER RIGHT-HAND SIDE OF THE OBVERSE OBJECT SURFACE. THE MILITARY RANK, NAME, BIRTH/CASUALTY DATES, & NATIONAL AFFILIATION, "CAPT. ELEANOR G. / ALEXANDER / 9/18/40 / 11/30/67 / USA" ARE STAMPED INTO THE OBVERSE OBJECT SURFACE IN RECESSED BLOCK SCRIPT/ARABIC NUMERALS. THE OBJECT IS ASSOCIATED WITH VIVE (9813 - 9817).
