Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. I note James Frew Collins also from Vandegrift was killed in Vietnam and wonder if you were related? As long as you are remembered you will always be with us…..

John was my cousin. Every summer we would travel to Vandergrift for a barbecue. Each time we went I would ask John to show me the Pink Lady and he never refused. Although my interactions with John were few and far between I will always remember him. He smile and laugh were genuine. Rest in peace, John, knowing that the world was a better place with you in it.

You went above and beyond, and died trying to save others. Your sacrifice and dedication to your fellow soldiers is not forgotten.
