Still thinking of you 58 years later
I was the new girl who transferred from another high school midway through our junior year. The girls were not particularly glad to see me so it was nice when Phelon was so friendly . He was big, caring, loved to laugh and loved to dance.

Was a little kid and parents were great friends.
Phelon I remember you as a kid. Who would hear stories about you from your mom and dad about how good you were playing football and how you wanted to go to the University of Washington and play there. We were really sad when heard the news of of your death. I want personally thank you for your service and sacrificing your life for my freedom. May you rest in peace. God's will I will see you on the other side.
