Hi Bud. Do your friends up there still call you "Bud" or was that just a high school nickname? You'll always be "Bud" to me. Afterall that's how I'll always remember you - as a high school kid. Remember how we always hung out at Reed's house or Gillies' house playing basketball? I was a few years younger than you, Bud, so you and your friends were the "big kids" to me. Do you know that even several years after you were gone, your name was still on the track & field records board hanging in the gym at Grovertown? You were not only a really nice guy but also a pretty darn good athlete. Just wanted you to know, Bud, that the old Koontz Lake gang still thinks of you. We sorrow that you left us so young - just as you were really beginning to experience the excitement of young adulthood - but we're also proud of the sacrifice that you made and of having known you.
