Ronnie Coker in country school
Ronnie was the only classmate my brother had at District 78, country grade school. Ronnie had two brothers and a sister. One of his brothers, Dean, was my only classmate. Both brothers deceased, his sister Janet, still lives in the Alliance, Nebraska area. Ronnie never gave up in his final hours, I've been told. In memory of him, a bit of Hiway has been named after him. It leads off of Nebraska Highway 2 just east of Alliance, leading to the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery. Ronnie was always in the mix of guys finding something to do during recess at Dist. 78. He was a fun-loving guy, yet very devoted to whatever he believed in. He believed in our country. He sacrificed his life serving our country as a marine. Semper Fi, Ronnie.

Always Remembered, Always Missed
I recently attended a ceremony at your gravesite, they placed a huge wreath on your grave, you were the first in Nebraska to receive one. I also finished your case in the Military Museum in Alliance. You are always missed.
