THE WALL OF FACES

I remember in ROTC my very first inspection. My nerves were on edge as I didn’t know what to expect. As I stood there I became faint and was told to go outside and get some air. Greg was sent with me to make sure I was all right. His encouragement that day gave me the confidence to go on for my years at Denby High to go from that scared first year cadet to an officer at my graduation. Thank you Greg. Semper Fi Marine.

Knew Greg in the late 50s at Greenfield Park Grade School in Detroit. Believe or not, I just found that that he was killed in Vietnam. He had barely lived his life. So sorry!

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from Mike Todt is moving. As long as you are remembered you will remain in our hearts forever....

Greg and I were best friends in high school, did ROTC together and messed around a lot. He spent time with me at MSU before he returned to Nam. A gentle giant, loving, caring, smart. My heart broke at his funeral....I say hi everything I visit the wall. His death was a loss to humanity.
