It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. I would like to thank you for the sacrifice that you gave for the betterment of all mankind. I am indebted to you for this sacrifice that you gave, for you protected me and millions of other people. You were unselfish and you are more than deserving of respect from all those that you fought for. Thank you for your bravery. You were a fine soldier.
